This document outlines the general training and assessment framework for all adventure guides operating under the South African Adventure Industry Association (SA AIA).
 
It serves as a template for Skills Development Partners (SDPs), instructors, and assessors to ensure consistent, safe, and effective training and evaluation across all adventure disciplines.
Topics include learner experience requirements, first aid standards, pre-trip planning, gear management, risk management, client communication, and post-event administration.
 
The guidelines align with SA AIA’s Technical Competency Framework and must be implemented together with each specific Skill Guideline Document.
