Bonsai-SA becomes SA AIA’s first accredited training provider

20 Oct 2026
Accreditation covers introductory 4WD training for on-road and off-road conditions.
Bonsai-SA, the trading brand of Bonsai Technologies, has become SA AIA’s first Accredited Training Provider and Professional Development Partner (PDP). The accreditation marks a milestone in the association’s work to support technical competence, professional development and safer practice across South Africa’s adventure industry.
The approval is specifically for the “Introduction to techniques for operating four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles in on-road and off-road conditions course”. Issued on 22 September 2026, certificate SDP-4WD-2026-001 is valid until 22 September 2029.
Professional Development Partners contribute to the development of technical skills through training within an approved scope. For Bonsai-SA, this recognition covers its introductory 4WD course, giving learners and industry partners a clear description of the training recognised by SA AIA.
SA AIA congratulates Johan du Plooy and the Bonsai-SA team on this achievement. The milestone forms part of the association’s wider work to develop clear technical training pathways with industry participation.
SA AIA’s training accreditation is voluntary and scope-specific. It is separate from association membership and provider verification, and does not replace formal guiding qualifications or applicable regulatory requirements.
